JAKARTA - A recidivist in the case of theft of car rearview mirrors has again carried out theft in the Pondok Bambu Asri residential area, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

However, the perpetrator, known as Rizaldi, was again arrested by residents because he was caught. A young man from Pulogadung, East Jakarta, was finally beaten by a mob who was upset by his actions.

"At first I was above, at that time I heard the thieves, when I saw the rearview mirror of my car he (the perpetrator) took off," said victim Alvin, the owner of the car, Thursday, August 8.

The perpetrator, who is a recidivist in this rearview mirror theft case, was desperate to act during the day. Rizaldi acted with a colleague on a motorbike.

When he managed to remove two rearview mirrors, the perpetrator tried to escape on his motorbike. However, the attempt to escape was thwarted by residents.

"When I was chased by my sister, the perpetrator was finally hit and fell on him (the perpetrator)," he said.

After the vehicle was hit, the two perpetrators fell. One perpetrator who was arrested was beaten by a mob.

Luckily, the perpetrator's life managed to survive after the Duren Sawit Police Buser Team arrived at the scene. The Buser team who arrived at the scene immediately secured the perpetrator to the residents' hall.

After a search and evidence was carried out, the perpetrator was then taken to the Duren Sawit Police for further processing.
