Bandungmeringkus City Police (Polresta) three perpetrators of bullying allegedly forced a child with special needs (ABK) to eat civet meat in a video that went viral on social media.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo explained that this incident was first reported by the victim's family on December 16.

"Then the Bandung Police immediately moved quickly at 21.00 WIB three hours from being reported, we were able to secure the perpetrators who posted and recorded the activity," said Kusworo as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 18.

Kusworo explained that in the video the victim was forced to eat broiler meat that had been cooked and the perpetrator also made harsh words.

"From there we can find out that the person who committed this act did it with a fad motif, giving broiler meat that has been cooked to the person concerned," he said.

From the results of the initial examination, the perpetrators admitted that the motive was to create viral content and increase the number of followers on social media.

However, after the video went viral and received public criticism, one of the perpetrators even closed his social media account for fear.

"Seeing the video going viral and the family not accepting it, then they consulted with the police and then reported it to the police and this incident was on December 10, 2024," he said.
