The Cost Of The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia Is Swelling, Minister Of State Secretary: Because It Was Held At IKN And Jakart

Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno said the cost of organizing the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony on August 17, 2024 in Jakarta and the State Capital (IKN) swelled.

He admitted that the budget for the 79th Indonesian Independence Day was greater than in previous years.

"Yes, because the ceremony is now held in two places [IKN and Jakarta], of course the budget is bigger than before, but not significant," said Pratikno at the Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, Tuesday, August 6, quoted by Antara.

Pratikno stated that he did not know how much budget was spent on the implementation of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. He asked reporters to ask the Head of the Presidential Secretariat about this.

As for the vehicle rental budget at IKN which rose significantly ahead of the proclamation second-second commemoration ceremony there, Pratikno said that it was a price at the local level, and the government did not use the vehicle for invited guests.

The government, said Pratikno, will facilitate invited guests with buses that adjust the availability.

As for the budget for the implementation of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day, including vehicle rental, according to him, it is financed by the state like in previous years.

"Oh, that's if the ceremony is held, it's financed by the state. There's no problem every year too," said Pratikno.
