JAKARTA - A number of condolences bouquets from various figures graced along the way to the funeral home of the 9th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Hamzah Haz. A number of wreaths lined up at the funeral home of Jalan Tegalan, Matraman came from government figures ranging from heads of institutions, ministers, director generals, TNI-Polri officials, to the President and Vice President.

Then there was also a bouquet of flowers coming from political figures, businessmen, and relatives from the late Hamzah Haz. Until 15.30 WIB, flower bouquets continued to arrive from various other figures. As for Hamzah Haz died at 09.30 WIB at his residence, at the age of 84 years. The Vice President who accompanied the 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri, was born in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, on February 15, 1940. After the funeral procession, Hamzah Haz's body was prayed at the mosque in front of his residence. Then the funeral was carried out a military ceremony, with the procession of handing over the body from the family to the government. Then Hamzah Haz's body departed at around 14.30 WIB from the funeral home to the Bogor area, West Java. It is planned that the late Hamzah Haz will be buried in the family grave located in Cisarua, Bogor.

Sebelumnya, Presiden Joko Widodo juga mengunjungi rumah duka bersama Wakil Presiden Terpilih Pemilu 2024 Gibran Rakabuming Raka, dan juga Menteri Agraria dan Tata Ruang Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.Selain Jokowi, sebelumnya tokoh-tokoh bangsa lainnya sudah berdatangan ke rumah duka, di antaranya Wakil Presiden Ke-6 Try Sutrisno, Wakil Presiden Ke-10 dan Ke-12 Jusuf Kalla, dan Wakil Presiden Ke-11 Budiono.Kemudian hadir pula sejumlah politisi, di antaranya Ketum PPP Mardiono, Ketum Partai Hanura Oesman Sapta Odang, hingga Wakil Ketua DPR RI Rahmat Gobel. Sedangkan Presiden Ke-5 Megawati Soekarnoputri berhalangan hadir dan diwakili oleh Ahmad Basarah selaku kader dari PDI Perjuangan.
