JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) officers managed to remove a number of rings in 10 fingers of a person with mental disorders, or a person with mental disorders (ODGJ).

The man without an identity is a need for social welfare services (PPKS) who was caught in a raid by the Satpol PP officers of Cempaka Putih District.

The Coordinator of the Gulkarmat Field for the Cempaka Putih Sector, Hery Setiawan, said that his party had cut the ring because the victim's hand was swollen.

"The process takes a while because you have to be careful because it is swollen," he said, Monday, July 22.

The cutting evacuation process was carried out using a small gripper. Slowly, the entire ring on the 10 fingers of the man's hand was finally cut.

In addition to the ring, officers also found ropes and wires that wrapped their necks and body parts.

Please note, the unidentified man was previously reported by residents who often roamed in residential areas of RW 13, Cempaka Putih Barat Village.

Following up on the report, the Cempaka Putih Satpol PP conducted a sweep on a number of roads. Then the Satpol PP managed to secure it.

After evacuating the ring cutting, the ODGJ man was taken to the Social Institution for further guidance.
