The Mastermind Of The Burning Of A Journalist's House In Karo Has Been Imprisoned In A Murder Case

The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) said that suspect B, the mastermind behind the burning of the house of journalist Rico Perfect Pasaribu, Jalan Nambung Surbakti, Karo Regency, had been imprisoned.

"Suspect B was involved in a murder case in 1982 at the age of 20," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi in Medan, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 16.

Hadi continued that suspect B was then sentenced to four years, four months by the Panel of Judges at the Kabanjahe District Court for being proven and guilty of committing the act of taking the life of a man named Rusdi Ginting.

This case began on Wednesday, July 16, 1982, when the victim Rusdi forbade B to load goods at the Tigabaru Complex, Kabanjahe District, Karo.

In short, he did not accept that the victim was prohibited, Hadi said that B, who is a loading and unloading worker, did not accept that the victim was prohibited.

"Suspect B was emotional and angry, then the perpetrator stabbed the victim with a knife until the victim died," he said.

Previously, the North Sumatra Police named a new suspect with the initials B who was suspected of being involved in the burning of the house of journalist Rico Perfect Pasaribu on Jalan Nambung Surbakti, Karo Regency.

Hadi said B was arrested in Karo Regency after officers arrested the executors of the burning of the victim's house, namely RAS on Saturday (6/7) and YT, Sunday (7/7).

The suspect B ordered the other two perpetrators to burn the house of the victim Rico Perfect Pasaribu.

"Suspect B ordered YT to burn, and gave Rp130 thousand to RAS to buy Pertalite oil and diesel used to burn the victim's house," said Hadi.

The fires resulted in four fatalities, namely Rico Perfect Pasaribu, Effrida Boru Ginting (wife), Sudi Inveseti Pasaribu (child), and Lowi Situngkir (grandson) in the early hours of Thursday (27/6).
