The Perpetrator Of Extortion Modus Spreads Nude Photos In Bandung Turns Out To Be A Prisoner In Cipinang Prison

JAKARTA - MA alias Cakra, a suspect in extortion of the parents of a junior high school student in Bandung City who was arrested by the West Java Police, turned out to be a prisoner at the Class 1 Cipinang Correctional Institution (Lapas), East Jakarta.

"MA is a convict of Law 35 on child protection, a case of rape of minors. From our calculations, he was released in early 2032 (in the sentence of rape). He was sentenced to 9 years in prison," said Head of Class 1 Cipinang Prison, Prayer Manik to VOI.

Prayer explained that the arrest of the Supreme Court convict for the extortion case by threatening to distribute nude photos of victims of junior high school students from Bandung by the West Java Police was the result of collaborations carried out by the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Law and Human Rights, especially the Cipinang Prison with the West Java Regional Police.

"The motive (of the convict to extort) I cannot explain, because the domain of the West Java Regional Police. The Supreme Court admits that it has only done this once, it is purely an initiative of the Supreme Court," he said.

Currently, the Supreme Court has been transferred to Nusakambangan Prison on Sunday, June 30, at around 23.00 WIB.

"MA has been transferred to Nusakambangan. We place it in a strategic cell (isolation cell) to inmates who violate the rules of conduct," he said.

This case emerged after the West Java Regional Police arrested the suspect MA alias Cakra for extorting the victim's parents by threatening to distribute nude photos of the victim who is a junior high school student in Bandung.

The Supreme Court is looking for victims via social media (Medsos). This case was revealed after the victim's parents reported it to the Cyber Sub-Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the West Java Police.

The Supreme Court suspect met via Instagram social media with 13-year-old AN victim, a junior high school student in Bandung City in March 2024. From that introduction, the MA and AN perpetrators were familiar because MA used a fake account with the name @Cakra_alv and a photo of a typical Korean handsome man.

Then, MA and AN intensely communicate via WhatsApp even though they have never met. On Saturday, June 8, 2024, the victim's parents received a short message on WhatsApp from an unknown number. The message contains photos and videos of victims AN naked.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol Jules Abraham Abast, said the victim's parents about the indecent photos and videos to the victim. AN claimed to have a girlfriend on Instagram with the @Cakra_alv account. The photo and nude video were requested by the MA perpetrator.

Then, the perpetrator MA alias Cakra contacted the victim's parents and threatened to distribute AN's photos and videos to social media and WA groups. The suspect asked for Rp 600 thousand. Worried that his daughter's indecent photo was widely spread, the victim's parents transferred Rp100 thousand to the account of BCA perpetrator MA alias Cakra on June 9, 2024. Then, parents reported to the West Java Police. The suspect MA is known to be a prisoner in Cipinang Prison.

Then the Sub-Directorate of Cyber Ditreskrimsus of the West Java Police coordinated with the Cipinang Prison to process the law against the perpetrators of MA alias Cakra. For his actions, the suspect MA alias Cakra was charged with Article 45 paragraph 10 in conjunction with Article 27b paragraph 2 with a maximum imprisonment of 6 years and/or a maximum fine of IDR 1 billion.
