JAKARTA - Secretary General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto finally opened his voice after being officially named a suspect related to the Harun Masiku case by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Tuesday, December 24, yesterday. Hasto alluded to intimidation by a figure who has a 3-term power ambition. According to him, determining himself as a suspect by the KPK is a risk that must be faced, when he criticized the existence of an attempt to castrate democracy. "From the beginning when I criticized how democracy should be enforced, how people's voices cannot be castrated, how the legal state cannot be turned off, and how the eyes of authority, which oppresses its own people, must be stopped, I have understood the various risks that I will face," said Hasto in his statement, Thursday, December 26. Hasto accused a power-hung figure behind his determination as a suspect. This figure, he said, intimidated him not to be fired by the party. Because of his ambition, he said, constitutional violation was also lawful. "If referring to the dismissal, the figure is suspected to be the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo. The reason is, Jokowi some time ago was fired by PDIP because it was considered a violation of the party's AD/ART, one of which was considered to have violated the party's AD/ART. "When various intimidation emerged, so as not to be dismissed against a figure who has power ambition, so that the constitution seems to be violated by extending the three-term term of office, or extending that term of office, then for the sake of the constitution, Mrs. Mega was firmly established to maintain democracy," said Hasto.
