People Don't Worry, Pertalite And Solar Prices Don't Change In July 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) emphasized that the price of subsidized fuel, namely Pertalite and Solar, will not change in July 2024.

Head of the Communications, Public Information Service and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Agus Cahyono Adi, revealed that the price of Non-Subsidized Fuel, namely Pertamax and so on will be adjusted by business entities in the range of the formulation price.

"Until now it has not been adjusted, if the general fuel is non-subsidized (Pertamax and others) it has been determined by business entities, as long as it is in the range of the formulation price," he told reporters, Jakarta, Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, for subsidized fuel, Agus stated, it is certain that it will not change in July 2024.

"The Pertalite that JBKP (Special Assignment Type) has not been adjusted, such as Solar. Pertamax Cs is possible," he said.

So far, Agus said that the price of Indonesian Crude Oil Price (ICP) tends to stagnate.

Although, Agus admitted, there is still a heavy burden coming from the United States (US) Dollar exchange rate against Rupiah.

"The price of ICP oil is still stagnant, but the heavy exchange rate is," he said.

For your information, the US Dollar exchange rate based on the middle exchange rate of Bank Indonesia (BI) until June 27, 2024 is at the level of Rp. 16,324. Meanwhile, ICP until June 27, 2024 is at the US$79.12/bbl level.

Previously, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif, revealed that there had been no decision regarding the change in fuel prices, especially subsidies.

Arifin also said that there had been no discussion regarding the fuel price after June 2024.

"If the electricity doesn't go up, (quarters) III, in the quarter tomorrow. BBM hasn't yet, it hasn't broken yet," he said.
