Strong Grass Root Claims, PKS Believes Sohibul Socialization Iman Cawagub Anies To Successful Residents

JAKARTA - Secretary of the DKI Jakarta PKS Regional Advisory Council (MPW) Muhammad Taufik Zoelkifli said his party would start socializing Sohibul Iman as a candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta to the public. This was done after PKS announced that it would carry Anies Baswedan as a candidate for governor in the Jakarta and Sohibul regional elections who are the Deputy Chair of the PKS Syuro Council as his companion. "Cadres will move to socialize or introduce Pak Sohibul Iman to the public," Taufik told reporters, Thursday, June 27. Taufik claimed that the ranks of PKS cadres, especially grassroots, had a fairly high persistence in carrying out the party's political mandate. "This is what we usually do. PKS structure, thank God, it is neat from top to bottom. Militants are good," said Taufik. "So, the instructions (socialization) from above, God willing, will get to the bottom immediately and then implement it," he continued. PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu officially announced that his party would pair Anies Baswedan and Sohibul Iman as candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada. "The PKS DPP at a meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2024 has decided to carry Mr. Anies rasyid Baswedan as a candidate for governor and father Sohibul of faith as a candidate for deputy governor," said Syaikhu in Central Jakarta, Tuesday, June 25. Syaikhu explained the reasons for carrying out his cadres, in the contestation of the DKI Jakarta Pilkada. According to him, PKS carries out a constitutional mandate to carry out regeneration and regeneration of political leadership. Thus, with his position as the winning party for the 2024 DKI Jakarta DPRD Legislative Election which won 18 seats, PKS felt that it had to carry its cadres in the Jakarta gubernatorial election this year.

"So, PKS will try it as much as possible to propose its own cadres, to become a candidate, is part of being held accountable to constituents including in DKI Jakarta Province as the winning party. It is appropriate and very natural if PKS carries its best cadres to appear as a candidate," explained Syaikhu.
