Tanri Abeng's Body Buried After Zuhur This Afternoon

JAKARTA - The body of former State Minister for SOE Empowerment Tanri Abeng will be buried after the midday prayer this afternoon. Tanri Abeng breathed her last on Sunday, June 23 at 02.36 WIB.

"InshaAllah will be buried bada zuhur at Tanri Abeng University Jalan Swadarma Raya No.58," as stated on the announcement board made by the family at the funeral home, Jakarta, Sunday, June 23, was confiscated by Antara.

Based on observations, until 10.20 WIB, several mourners had started arriving at funeral homes such as former Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) AM Hendropriyono, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Fadel Muhammad Al-Haddar, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and the 10th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia and Jusuf Kalla 12.

Former Head of BIN Hendropriyono said Tanri Abeng was a person who had futuristic thinking and was brilliant. According to him, his thoughts contributed a lot to the advancement of the national economy.

"He during his life was a friend of mine in the cabinet first. He is the minister of SOEs, and I see his vision forward is very good because he is a brilliant futuristic," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Fadel Muhammad Al-Haddar said Tanri Abeng is a person who prioritizes education, and has high desire to develop the ecosystem of state-owned companies to make them better.

"Education is the basis of everything. So he makes education, encourages education, everywhere he is involved. I always pay attention to him, he told us to prepare human resources," he said.

In addition, there have been dozens of flower bouquets arranged in front of Tanri Abeng's funeral home, including from the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sumarjaya Linggih, and President Director of PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati.

Previously, the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir mentioned Tanri Abeng as a figure who contributed greatly to Indonesia's development.

"Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rajiun. Deep condolences for the death of the first SOE Minister, Mr. Tanri Abeng. The figure who contributed greatly to this country," Erick said as quoted from the official Instagram page @erickthohir in Jakarta, Sunday.

Erick expressed his condolences and hoped that the late Tanri Abeng would have the best place and the family left behind would be given patience.

"Hopefully the deceased will find a spacious place in the sight of Allah SWT, and the entire family and relatives left behind will be given patience," he said.
