The Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said the government was trying to make the Prambanan 'Claten Toll Road segment functioned on a limited basis during the Nataru period even though the construction had not yet been completed.
AHY said that the operation of this toll road is expected to break the traffic density which is predicted to increase significantly.
"Towards Nataru, we are also trying to make road sections usable. Including this toll road, why? Because of course the intensity will be higher, our mobility predicts it will also increase significantly," AHY said in his official statement, written Friday, December 27.
The Prambanan' Klaten toll road in Central Java with a length of approximately 8.6 kilometers (km) is part of the construction of the Yogyakarta Yogyakarta 'Yogyakarta' Toll Road. The construction of this toll road is still ongoing with gradual work from sections I and II.
