BADUNG - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno regretted the actions of the owner of the TikTok social media account for foreigners_ngoceh who insulted the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) and the Indonesian government.

"It is very concerning that tourists actually speak ill of the countries they visit, we really regret it," he said after a meeting with Bulgarian, Panamanian and Saudi Arabian Famitrip participants in Badung Regency, Bali, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, June 14.

It is known that the video with an audience of 296 thousand shows that the account owner who claims to be from Italy, points to a land that is being built while offending as if the place is an IKN.

He said IKN was the capital of the Nepotism Corruptor, where there were construction of official houses, stalled-story buildings, and water crises that had to carry water from Jakarta.

The satire of the government was recorded in a nearly 3-minute video and at the end of the man quipped with the hope that foreign investors would buy land on IKN.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy assessed that Italian foreigners should respect Indonesia and its government, because if we talk about corruption, everyone also wants to fight.

"It will continue to happen because the use of social media and the desire to go viral will always be an attraction, I remind you where the earth is stepped on where the sky is upheld, respect it," he said.

Sandiaga Uno also assessed that when Indonesians who come to a country cannot insult their government system, so it should have the opposite effect.

In addition to responding to the actions of the video maker, Sandiaga also commented on the recent increase in violations by tourists.

According to him, it is necessary to monitor and take action, especially since some foreign actions lead to violations of the law.

"If we look at the number of more and more in the last few months, now this needs support not only law enforcement officers, but also the community and the entire ecosystem of our tourism," he said.
