The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned former Jambi Governor Zumi Zola as a witness to the alleged bribery of the Jambi RAPBD hammer today, Wednesday, June 5.
Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri explained that Zumi's summons was again carried out because he was not present at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday, June 4 yesterday. He will be questioned in Jambi.
"Zumi Zola in question confirmed that he was not present in Jakarta and is scheduled to be questioned today in Jambi," Ali said when confirmed by reporters via text message, Wednesday, June 5.
While on a separate occasion, Ali said Zumi was summoned because investigators developed allegations of bribery related to the ratification of the budget. "I think this is the last one," he said.
He then revealed that the anti-corruption commission had issued a warrant for the start of a new investigation (sprindik) in this case on May 29, 2024. "And named one person as a new suspect in the case," Ali explained.
Previously reported, the KPK continues to develop allegations of bribery against the Jambi Province RAPBD hammer which also ensnared former Jambi Governor Zumi Zola. A total of tens of suspects have been named, including former Jambi DPRD member Kusnindar who was detained on July 24, 2023.
In this case, the KPK suspects that the suspects received bribes of around Rp. 100 million to Rp. 400 million. The bribery was carried out to pass the budget draft in Jambi Province.
