JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Pratikno denied the resignation of the Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono and Deputy Chief of OIKN Dhony Rahajoe regarding the preparation of a series of events to commemorate the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17.
"Oh no, no. We have designed the 17 (Acara), so before moving (the capital) there will be a 17th event starting there," said Pratikno at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, June 3.
Pratikno announced that the Presidential Decree on the Dismissal with Respect, Bambang Susantono from the position of Head of the IKN Authority and also Dhony Rahajoe from the position of Deputy Head of the IKN Authority had been issued.
The Presidential Decree was issued based on the resignation letter submitted by Dhony Rahajoe, followed by Bambang Susantono, to President Joko Widodo a few weeks ago.
However, Pratikno admitted that he did not know the reason for Dhony Rahajoe and Bambang Susantono's resignation from the IKN Authority. "Yes, if the name is withdrawn in the letter, we don't know either," said Pratikno.
Following up on the resignation, the government issued a Presidential Decree to appoint Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono as Acting Head of the IKN Authority and Deputy Minister of ATR Raja Juli Antoni as Acting Deputy Head of the IKN Authority.
According to the Minister of State Secretary, Basuki and King Juli Antoni will carry out the task until the appointment of the head of the IKN Authority and the deputy head of the IKN Authority is definitive. "Yes, until (selected officials) are definitive. We will see developments," said Pratikno.
