JAKARTA - Pregnant women who were victims of a traffic accident on Jalan Pejambon, Gambir District, Central Jakarta were helped by PPSU Pasar Baru officers who passed by the location.

Hidayatullah, a member of PPSU, said that he and his four colleagues happened to pass at the location at 05.30 WIB and saw the crowd.

"It was a traffic jam. Then I told my team to come down to check. Then I passed and was stopped and asked to help take the victim," he said.

At that time, his party immediately covered up the victim's blood using a PPSU uniform. This also answered the initial assumption that the victim was a member of the PPSU.

"So the uniform was worn to cover the victim's blood and cover the victim's aurat. That's why we rushed to cover it," he said.

At that time, he and his colleagues had seen critical victims, so the initiative wanted to take the victim to the Gatot Subroto hospital which is close to the location.

But the victim's companion asked to be taken to the Sumber Waras hospital.

"I said I was taken to Gatot Subroto for initial help. But he was taken to the Waras Source because there was a history. I have explained that the distance is too far and if something happens, we are not responsible," he said.

At that time, his party immediately took the victim to the Sumber Waras hospital. While heading to the Sumber Waras Hospital, there were several congestion points, so PPSU friends opened the road by directing the car in front of him to pull over a little.

"Finally, the distance from Pejambon to Sumber Waras Hospital was taken within 20 minutes," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a pregnant woman who served as a health worker (Nakes) became a victim of a hit-and-run on Jalan Pejambon, Gambir District, Central Jakarta.

As a result of the accident, the perpetrator managed to escape. Meanwhile, the victim suffered bleeding.

"The victim is a hospital pharmacist (health worker), she is pregnant," said one source.

Gambir Metro Police Chief, Kompol Jamalinus Nababan said his party was still investigating the information.

"We collect information, find out first. No one has reported it yet," said Kompol Jamalinus when confirmed, Thursday, May 16.
