The Addition Of Hajj Quota Is Not According To The Rules

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives' Hajj Supervisory Team (Timwas) Selly Andriany Change assessed that the policy of transferring half of the 20 thousand additional quota for regular Hajj pilgrims to Hajj plus (ONH Plus) was not in accordance with the rules and was not in accordance with the agreement made by Commission VIII of the DPR RI. He admitted that he would ask for accountability from the Ministry of Religion for the policy. During the discussion process, according to him, Timwas Haji was not given clear information regarding the rules made by the Ministry of Religion, including the E-Hajj system which was implemented. "However, with the issuance of the Regulation of the Minister of Religion (Permenag) it will certainly violate the rules because the Presidential Decree (Keppres) issued by the President already has rules. The Permenag is weaker than the Presidential Decree," said Selly in his official statement, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, June 18. According to him, the decision to transfer 10 thousand additional quotas of regular Hajj into special hajj (ONH Plus) should be balanced with additional space for regular pilgrims.

Namun kenyataannya, dia mengatakan penambahan ruang tersebut tidak terjadi, sehingga menyebabkan penumpukan jemaah reguler di Mina dan Arafah."Terbukti bahwa 10 ribu tambahan untuk haji reguler ternyata tidak ada juga tambahan space untuk haji reguler," katanya.
