Passengers Up 25 Percent During Long Weekend Eid Al-Adha

JAKARTA - The HIGH Speed Train serves more than 21 thousand passengers on Saturday, June 15, 2024. This number is the temporary highest number in the long Weekend period of Eid al-Adha from June 14 to 18, 2024.

"Not a few scheduled high-speed train trips that day had occupancy above 95 percent. The efficiency and effectiveness offered is the main reason for people to use the first high-speed train in Southeast Asia," said KCIC GM Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa, Tuesday 18 June.

Halim Station became the highest departure station with a total of 13,550 passengers or 60 percent of allPORTed passengers on that day.

The Padalarang Station serves 5,703 passengers and 1,836 passengers from Tegalluar Station.

In total, the volume of passengers during the Eid al-Adha holiday has increased by about 25 percent compared to normal days.

At the moment of this weekend's holiday, Halim's departure flight ticket from 06.40 - 18.00 or as much as 20 of the 24 trips, the majority of occupancy reached up to 98 percent.
