Sidoarjo Regent Receives ASN Incentive Cuts Through Driver

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK said that the Regent of Sidoarjo, Ahmad Muhdlor Ali, also received money from cutting incentives for employees of the Sidoarjo Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD) through his driver. "Regarding the process of receiving money by AMA, the handover was carried out directly by SW as ordered by AS in the form of cash, including being handed over to the AMA driver," said KPK Deputy Chair Johanis Tanak to reporters, Tuesday, May 7. However, it is not certain the nominal amount of money received by Ahmad Muhdlor Ali. However, the KPK revealed the initial findings of Rp2.7 billion in the case. "Of course, Rp2.7 billion is the initial evidence to continue to be investigated by the Investigative Team," he said. So far, the money is allegedly the result of collecting from ASN incentive cuts. Ahmad Muhdlor Ali is said to have ordered the cuts. However, the calculation was handed over to the Head of the Sidoarjo Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD) Ari Suryono and the Head of the General BPPD Sidoarjo Siska Wati. "The amount of the discount is 10 percent to 30 percent in accordance with the amount of incentives received," said Tanak. In this case, Ahmad Muhdlor Ali was officially detained by the KPK for the next 20 days starting from May 7 to May 26, 2024.

The Sidoarjo Regent is suspected of violating Article 12 letter f of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
