The joint SAR team is still looking for the whereabouts of Rahman (13), a boy who was reported missing, drowned in the Ciliwung River, Jalan Baru RT 09/02, Cawang Village, Kramatjati District, East Jakarta.

"Search efforts are divided into two teams. The first team conducted a search using a rubber boat along the Ciliwung flow up to a radius of 5 KM from the scene," said Head of the Jakarta Basarnas as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in the SAR operation, Desiana Kartika Bahari, Thursday, May 2.

Then the second team will comb the land route along the banks of the Ciliwung River up to a radius of 2 KM from the scene.

"We are trying to search but it is still nil since Thursday morning. We are maximizing the search," he said.

In addition, Desirea will also coordinate with officers at Manggarai Water Gate, South Jakarta.

"If you see the signs of the victim, contact the joint SAR element who is currently searching," he said.

The teams involved in the search for victims were the Jakarta Basarnas, DKI Jakarta BPBD, Pancoran Police, Pancoran Koramil, Brimob SAR Polda Metro Jaya and others.

Previously, it was reported that a boy named Rahman (13) was reported missing and drowned in the Ciliwung River, Jalan Baru RT 09/02, Cawang Village, Kramatjati District, East Jakarta. The victim has been missing since last Wednesday, May 1.

Based on information from local residents, the victim drowned while trying to retrieve the ball that fell into the Ciliwung River, RW 02, Cawang.

"While playing the ball, the ball fell and was swept away by the water. The victim wanted to take the ball but was dragged along until it sank," said one resident, Thursday, May 2.
