110,483 People Cross To Merak From Bakauheni On D+6 Lebaran 2024, The Number Has Decreased

The backflow crossing activity at Bakauheni Port, South Lampung, to Merak, Banten on D+6 Lebaran 2024 has decreased from the previous day.

General Manager of PT ASDP Feri Indonesia Bakauheni Branch Rudi Sunarko said the number of passengers crossing Merak Port on D+6 was 110,483 people.

This number has decreased from Tuesday, April 16, which was 158,935 people.

"The number of passengers consists of 8,767 pedestrian passengers and 101,716 passengers in the vehicle," said Rudi Sunarko in Bakauheni, South Lampung, Wednesday, April 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

He added, the number of vehicles crossing from Sumatra to Java is 24,847 units or decreased from one day ago where as many as 36,136 units.

He explained that the passengers of the vehicles were divided into four vehicles, namely two-wheeled, four-wheeled, buses and trucks and large vehicles.

"For the number of passengers using two-wheeled vehicles as many as 9,181 units, four-wheeled 13,207 units, 674 buses, and a large vehicle truck of 1,785 units," he said.

He also explained that PT ASDP Bakauheni Branch with the readiness of its fleet is considered to have succeeded in serving passenger mobilization during the Eid al-Fitr transportation period in 2024.

Rudi Sunarko appealed to ferry service users to buy Ferizy tickets from far away. "We urge prospective travelers from Sumatra to Java who will use ASDP crossing services to buy tickets from far away," he said.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has imposed a new provision for purchasing online ferry tickets starting December 11, 2023.
