Queues To Ride The Ship Under The Hot Sun, A Number Of Travelers Fainted At Ciwandan Port, Cilegon

A number of travelers at Ciwandan Port, Cilegon, Banten, fell unconscious. It is suspected that they were tired of being hit by a hot matahari when they queued for hours at the buffer zone to get on the boat. Monitoring at the location at around 10:00 WIB, Sunday 7 April, thousands of two-wheeled vehicles appeared to be queuing outside to go to Ciwandan Port. With the weather conditions quite hot, some travelers carrying toddlers and children chose to get off their vehicles and look for a more comfortable location. Not even a few motorists who fell unconscious due to fatigue and also dehydration. Officers then quickly carried out the evacuation process. The victim was taken to the medical post for treatment.

Anisah Purti, one of the travelers from Cikarang, said that she had been queuing from 05.00 am until now she had not yet gotten on the ship. "I'm from Cikarang leaving at 00.30 WIB with my husband and two children. Until here at around 05.00 am, until now I'm still queuing outside," he said.

Anisah mengatakan akan mudik ke Tanggamus, Lampung Tengah, dengan perjalanan kurang lebih sekitar 7 jam lagi untuk bisa ke kampung halaman."Insya Allah masih kuat karena perjalan 7 jam lagi, yang lain banyak yang pingsan tahun ini mudiknya luar biasa parah macetnya," katanya.
