Hamas Officials Warn Israel: Operations In Rafah Will Not Be Easy.

JAKARTA - Palestinian militant group Hamas has begun preparing to face Israel's operational plans in the southern city of Rafah Gaza, a group leader said.

"The Rafah operation will not be as easy as the colonial leaders thought," said the official, who declined to be named in an interview with Qatari media, Al-Arabi Al-Sodid, as reported by The Times Israel March 28.

He further said Hamas and other militant groups were "fully prepared to cause heavy losses to the colonial army."

The official also threatened further attacks from the so-called "foros resistance," a group of Iran-backed movements hostile to Israel and the United States which also included the Lebanese Hezbollah militant group and Iraqi militias.

The leader of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, caused an explosion across the region, and if this happens, no party will be able to control the impact, he warned.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken it would continue to attack Rafah even without Washington's support when the two met last week.

"I told him, I really appreciate the fact that for more than five months, we have been united in the fight against Hamas," PM Netanyahu said in a video.

"I told him, we realized the need to evacuate civilians from the war zone and of course to meet humanitarian needs, and we are working on it," he continued.

"But I also told him that we have no way to beat Hamas without going to Rafah, and eliminating the remaining battalions there. And I told him I hope we will do it with American support, but if necessary, we will do it ourselves," said PM Netanyahu.

The United States through President Joe Biden had previously warned Israel of an attack on Rafah and asked it to be canceled. A number of countries and international agencies have also warned of the risk of humanity if Israel attacks the city.
