SAR Find Grandma's Body Hugs Grandchildren In West Bandung Landslide

The joint SAR team again found the bodies of three victims buried by landslides in West Bandung Regency, West Java (West Java). Two of them were found hugging each other.

Head of Operations and Alert of the Bandung Basarnas, Supriono, said that during the fourth day of the search operation, he found a grandmother hugging her grandson on her stomach.

"At 10.30 to 11.00 WIB, the evacuation team managed to find three victims, namely one adult male, one adult woman and one girl," Supriono said in Bandung Regency, Thursday, March 28, as reported by Antara.

He explained that the three bodies that were evacuated by the SAR Team were identified, consisting of Eras (50-year-old woman), Dadi (male, 59 years old), Nabila (female, 5 years old).

Supriono said that based on the identification results of the West Java Police DVI team, the three victims were part of 10 victims who were missing when buried by landslide material on Monday, March 25.

"Currently, the victim's family has come to the Cililin Hospital to confirm the victims," he said.

Until now, the joint SAR team managed to find the bodies of seven victims and the remaining three victims at the location of the landslide in Cibenda Village, Cipongkor District, West Bandung Regency.

"So far, seven victims have been evacuated," he said.

Furthermore, he said that the fourth day of the search operation was finally temporarily suspended by the joint SAR team, due to unfavorable weather factors and resumed on Friday, March 29 at 07.00 WIB.

"At 14.30 WIB the search for victims had been stopped by the evacuation team due to the rainy weather factor," said Supriono.
