Previously, North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan led the security checks of churches in the North Jakarta area.

He said this activity was carried out to ensure the safety of the congregation during the service on Thursday, Good Friday and Easter.

"Today we are checking at several churches in the North Jakarta area, the aim is to ensure the safety of the church during the White Thursday service, Good Friday, and the Easter celebration will run safely and smoothly," he said.

The churches visited along with their ranks were the Indonesian Christian Church (Koja), the St. Fransiskus Xaverius Parish Kelapa Gading Catholic Church, and the St. Andreas Kim Tae Gon State Church (Kelapa Gaidng).

Earlier we checked three churches, in the Koja and Kelapa Gading areas. At that location we checked CCTV, the availability of parking lots and security officers," he said.
