Ahead Of Lebaran Homecoming, Central Java Police Implemented Three-Square Truck Restrictions On Trans Java Toll Road

Central Java Police issued an appeal to employers, owners, and drivers of three-axis trucks to comply with the operational restrictions on their vehicles. This step is part of a traffic engineering strategy prepared to ensure the smoothness and comfort of road users during the homecoming and return flow in 2024.

The Traffic Director of the Central Java Police explained that the three-axis restriction will take effect from April 5 to 16, 2024 on the Trans Java toll road and a number of arterial lanes in Central Java. During this period, three-axis vehicles were prohibited from crossing several certain toll roads and arterial routes.

A number of roads in question are the Trans Java toll roads from Pejagan to Sragen, the Arterial Section of Pantura to Demak and the Central Line to Purwokerto.

"We hope that all goods transport entrepreneurs and truck owners understand and socialize this restriction to all relevant parties," he said after breaking the fast on Pandanaran Street on Wednesday (20/3/2024).

The police will also take preemptive, preventive, and take action according to the law for those who violate these rules. Tickets will be applied to vehicles that are still operating during the period of restrictions.

However, vehicles transporting fuel and basic necessities to the community are still allowed to pass on condition that they have a valid Road Permit.

In addition to limiting three-axis vehicles, the Central Java Police will also implement an odd-even system One Way system. This system will take effect from April 5 to 16, 2024, with a predetermined schedule for homecoming and return flow.

"People from Semarang who are going to Jakarta should be prepared because on the 5 hours 2 pm the toll road will be fully used for One Way from Jakarta. Please use the arterial route to go west," he said.

The implementation of the One Way system is as follows:

April 5 at 14.00 apply One Way National homecoming flow which lasts non-stop for 24 hours until April 7, 2024.

On April 8 and 9, One Way starts at 8 am to 12 pm.

On April 11-13, 2024, One Way will take effect from the Kalikangkung Toll Road to the Cikatama Toll Road. On that date One Way is valid from 8 am to 12 pm.

Meanwhile, when the peak of backflow on the 14th starts at 14.00 WIB, there will be a full One Way of backflow from Kalikangkung to Jakarta for 24 hours until April 16, 2024.
