BUKITTINGGI - The Bukittinggi City Police, West Sumatra, arrested an unscrupulous civil servant teacher at an elementary school (SD) with the initials I (40) who was suspected of obscene his own students. "The disclosure of the alleged obscene case against a minor began with the victim's brother who was suspicious of his younger brother's mental change," said Head of the Public Relations Section of the Bukittinggi Police, Iptu Agustiar, in Bukittinggi, Antara, Wednesday, March 20. Especially after seeing the results of the victim's low IQ test, so that the family became more suspicious. "After that, the family reported to the police so that the matter could be revealed," he said. He said that according to the report received, the male teacher carried out the victim on Thursday, February 15 in the classroom. "The temporary confession of the victim has been repeatedly molested from 2023 to February 15, 2024. This has been denied by the suspect, but we are still conducting further investigations," he said. According to him, currently the suspect and the evidence (BB) of the clothes used by the victim at the time of the incident have been secured at the Bukittinggi Police Headquarters. The suspect is threatened with Article 81 (3) junto Article 82 (2) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection with a minimum threat of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years and an additional one-third of the criminal threat. Agustiar explained that the suspect's modus operandi was to punish the victim, so the victim cried. Then the perpetrator persuaded and embraced the victim from behind.

"Furthermore, the suspect kissed the victim and thought the victim was his own child. This is according to the suspect's confession," he said.
