Former Chief Justice Of The Constitutional Court Outspoken About Dynasty Politics: Never In The History Of Many People Are Angry Like Now

JAKARTA - Former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Jimly Asshiddiqie said the tension in national political dynamics was still heating up after the 2024 simultaneous elections.

"Never in history have so many people been angry," Jimly said on his X social media account, Friday, March 8

He explained that two factors were the cause of political temperature in the country which had not yet subsided after the five-year democratic celebration.

"About 2 things: the rise of dynastic political practices and the lecherous morals of the state," said Jimly.

Jimly thinks this heated political tension cannot be allowed to drag on because it has the potential to cause turmoil.

He also invited all elements to fix the factors he had mentioned, including by managing systems and ethics so as not to injure democracy in Indonesia.

"Apart from the action for short-term solutions, let's take advantage of the momentum for improving the system in the future. Modernization of political culture and the system of ethical justices," he said.
