JAKARTA - The Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Nurdin Abdullah wore the orange vest of KPK prisoner. This means that the Governor of South Sulawesi is a suspect.

From the monitoring at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) building, Nurdin Abdullah was seen at a press conference at the KPK building, Sunday, February 28.

Not just an orange vest, South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah was handcuffed.

Previously, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri said that his party would announce the suspect in a series of operations to arrest South Sulawesi Governor, Nurdin Abdullah. The check will be carried out on those who are secured.

"On Friday, February 26, 2021, midnight until early this morning, the KPK arrested the perpetrators of corruption in the South Sulawesi region. Law enforcement must also uphold human rights, we must respect the principle of presumption of innocence. The KPK will announce the suspect after the examination of witnesses and suspect is finished. We'll present him at the press conference," Firli told reporters, Saturday, February 27.

Currently, said Firli, the KPK team is still working on the arrest. The KPK is currently bringing Nurdin along with other parties who were also arrested for further investigation at the KPK building, Jakarta.
