Assuming That The Right Of A Questionnaire Does Not Affect The Results Of The Presidential Election, Former Secretary General Of PKB: Wrong Steps To Address

JAKARTA - Former PKB Secretary General Lukman Edy said the discourse on the issuance of the right to inquiry would not affect the results of the 2024 General Election. This step was actually considered to be the wrong address.

This was conveyed in response to the attitude of the Change Coalition party, namely the Nasdem Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB) and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) which supported the issuance of the right of inquiry in the DPR RI to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 presidential election.

"So their move is the same as the wrong address. And most importantly, it has nothing to do with the election results," Edy told reporters in Jakarta, Saturday, February 24.

As the former Chairman of the Special Committee (Pansus) of the Election Law, Lukman said that the Election Law has regulated how to respond to the process and the results of voting. There are channels that can be used, such as the Constitutional Court (MK) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

"For the election results, there is already a channel through the Constitutional Court. As for the election process, it can be brought to Bawaslu, the process can continue until the Supreme Court," he said.

Lukman also highlighted the steps taken by PKB to support the right of inquiry. He said, the party created by Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin should be honest and fair in responding to the election process.

The trick is to apply for the right of inquiry regarding the legislative elections (pileg). 'Dare or not?' he challenged.

Lukman reminded PKB that they should also attract their ministers in the cabinet if they do not agree with the government's attitude regarding elections. "So, dare not to withdraw completely from the cabinet too?" he said.

Previously reported, Ganjar Pranowo proposed two supporting parties in parliament, namely the PDI-P (PDIP) and the United Development Party (PPP) to roll out the right of inquiry related to alleged fraud in the 2024 General Election.

"The DPR can ask the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) to investigate allegations of fraud in the holding of this year's elections," said Ganjar. Later, the presidential and vice-presidential camps number one, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or AMIN will also follow the same steps.
