Two Police Appeals After 8 Years Of Demotion In The Case Of Extortion Of DWP Spectators

JAKARTA - Former Head of Unit 5 Sub-Directorate 2 of the Narcotics Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya Kompol Dzul Fadlan and another police officer, S, were sentenced to 8 years of demotion related to the extortion case against spectators of the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) 2024. However, both of them declared an appeal against the decision of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial.

"(The two alleged violators) are in the appeal," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, to reporters, Friday, January 3.

Not only demotion, both of them were also subject to ethical sanctions by being required to take part in mental development of personality, mental, religious and professional knowledge. They must undergo this activity for one month.

"From the results of the examination, the roles of each violator have been classified. Of course, sanctions are given proportionally according to the role and form of the actions of each violation," he said.

The sanction was given because the KKEP trial commission believed the two were proven to have committed violations while on duty. They asked for money from the DWP concert audience who had been secured as a condition of release.

"At the time of the examination of the person who was secured, he had made a request for money in return for his release or release," said Trunoyudo.

It was emphasized that the entire ethics trial process was also supervised by Kompolnas as the external supervisor of the National Police.

The involvement of the external party is a form of commitment to the seriousness of the Police to take firm action against members who violate the rules and form of transparency to the community.

So far, three police officers have been sentenced to dishonorable dismissal or dismissal (PTDH) related to the extortion case of DWP spectators, namely Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, AKP Yudhy Trianta Syaeful, and AKBP Malvino Edward Yusticia. However, the three of them have appealed the decision.
