TANJUNGPINANG - Bintan Police, Riau Islands Police (Kepri) managed to arrest six perpetrators for recklessly smuggling illegal drugs and firearms into the local area.

The police chief explained that the chronology of the incident began when the Bintan Police Narcotics Unit received information that a man was carrying methamphetamine from Batam City to Bintan Regency through the Port of Roro ASDP Tanjung Uban, Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Furthermore, personnel immediately went to the location to conduct an investigation, then succeeded in arresting six perpetrators suspected of carrying drugs by driving a white Honda Brio car in the parking lot of Roro ASDP Tanjung Uban Port.
During a search of the perpetrators, the police found a number of evidences in the form of narcotics suspected of being 31.80 grams of methamphetamine, 13.12 grams of heroin, 34 grams of ecstasy, 2.16 grams of Happy Five (H5) and 5.88 grams of marijuana.
