Bad Weather And Floods, 39 TPS In Central Jakarta Complete Voting

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Jakarta City said that the Central Jakarta area had completed voting even though at several polling stations (TPS) it was hit by floods and the TPS collapsed, due to bad weather that hit the city of Jakarta on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

"Thank God all polling stations in Central Jakarta have carried out and completed the voting even though they are not on time due to weather factors," said Central Jakarta KPU chairman Efni to reporters, Thursday, February 15.

Based on data belonging to the Central Jakarta KPU, there were 39 polling stations at 8 flood-affected areas on Wednesday, February 14.

There are 6 TPS in Kebon Kacang Village, Tanah Abang, namely TPS 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 hit by floods.

In Karet Tengsin Village, Tanah Abang, there are 7 polling stations that experience flooding. Namely TPS 19, 21, 22, 25, 35, 40 and TPS 45.

"Serdang Village has 3 polling stations hit by floods, namely TPS 97, 98 and 99," he said.

8 polling stations are also located in Cempaka Baru, namely TPS 35, 36, 37, 46, 68, 69, 71, and 89. On Mount Sahari Selatan there are 48, 49 and 50.

Kelurahan Kebon Sirih terdapat 7 TPS yakni TPS 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 14. Kelurahan Menteng terdapat 3 TPS yakni di TPS 78, 80 dan 81.

Finally, in the Mangga Dua Selatan area, there were 2 polling stations that were hit by floods, namely TPS 96 and 97.

"The 39 polling stations only experienced delays in time starting due to flood and rain constraints, but everything was completed on Wednesday, February 14," he said.
