Poltracking: Prabowo-Gibran's Electability In East Java Reaches 60.1 Percent

JAKARTA - The latest Indonesian Poltracking survey shows that the electability of the Presidential Candidate and Vice Presidential Candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in East Java reached 60.1 percent.

"The trend of Prabowo Subianto's electoral movement in East Java has consistently increased since June 2023. A significant increase occurred from September 2023 to January 2024 (19.5 percent), in that range Prabowo Subianto was confirmed to be paired with Gibran Rakabuming Raka," said Poltracking Indonesia in an exposure to the survey results quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 6.

Meanwhile, the candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD received 17.2 percent. Meanwhile, candidate pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar 14.9 percent.

The electability power of Prabowo-Gibran spread to voters in the Arek, Mataraman, Tapal Kuda, and Pantura regions. The voters in the Madura region are competitive between Anies-Muhaimin and Prabowo-Gibran.

Poltracking Indonesia conducted a survey in 11 Electoral Regions (Dapil) of the DPR RI East Java of 8,000 respondents during January 25. The survey method is stratified multistage random sampling with a margin of error of approximately 1.1 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.

Sampling in each electoral district pays attention to the representation of all sub-districts in the electoral district while still considering the proportion of the permanent voter list (DPT) in each district/city.
