Polda Metro-Pemprov DKI Holds Coordination Meeting For Voting And Vote Calculation

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya and the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta held a coordination meeting (Rakor) ahead of the voting and the calculation of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) vote. One of the things discussed was security at the polling station (TPS). The coordination meeting which was held at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Central Jakarta, was also attended by the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, Pangdam Jaya Maj. Gen. Mohammad Hasan, as well as representatives from KPU RI and Bawaslu. Karyoto in his speech emphasized that thorough preparations must be made to prevent disturbances during a series of 2024 Election activities "All relevant ranks and stakeholders should jointly formulate and determine security measures to anticipate things that are not desirable, lest we underestimate the current situation ” Karyoto said in his statement, Monday, January 29. Then, Karyoto said that the level of vulnerability and potential disturbances that occurred in the voting process and vote calculations had been taken into account. Although he did not specify, the Metro Jaya Police Chief said it was caused by several natural and environmental factors. Therefore, 162,313 joint personnel have been deployed to ensure all are safe. “ In the implementation of the 2024 General Election in Operation Mantab Brata Polda Metro Jaya involved the strength of the existing personnel as many as 162,313 joint personnel consisting of police personnel 20,291, TNI personnel 10,890 and 131,132 Linmas personnel. It is hoped that with the current strength it can cover all polling stations in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya ” he said.
