Circulation Of Methamphetamine And Marijuana International Networks Thwarted By Jakarta Metro Police

North Jakarta Metro Police arrested three international network drug dealers of methamphetamine and marijuana in the Pejaringan area, North Jakarta. The two perpetrators had the initials NT, NH and MJT.

North Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Head AKBP Prasetyo Noegroho explained that the arrests of the perpetrators were carried out in early January 2024.

From the hands of the three suspects, officers secured a number of evidences of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 84.86 grams, ketamina (dose drug) with a gross weight of 86.16 grams and 6 packages of marijuana with a total weight of 6 kilograms.

"We revealed the circulation of methamphetamine-type drugs on Wednesday, January 3 in the Pejagalan and marijuana areas on Saturday, January 6 in South Pluit," Prasetyo told reporters, Thursday, January 25.

"The methamphetamine DEALERs with the initials NT and NH both tested positive for urine, for marijuana with the initials MJT with a negative urine test," he continued.

He also revealed that the perpetrators of methamphetamine dealers are a Malaysian network that enters Indonesia by sea at a price of Rp. 1 million per gram.

As a result of their actions, the perpetrators were named suspects and charged with multiple articles, namely Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary paragraph 111 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics and Article 435 JO Article 436 of Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning health with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
