Hit By A Truck On Jalan Basuki Rahmat: A Light Damaged Motorbike, The Owner Dies On The Spot

The traffic accident that caused the victim to die also occurred on Jalan Basuki Rahmat, towards Basura, East Jakarta, Wednesday afternoon, January 24. Similar to the incident on Ring Road Street, West Jakarta, which killed a married couple (Pasutri), a motorcyclist was also killed after being hit by a truck loaded with building materials.

The death toll was identified as Teddy Reza Permana (25), riding a Honda motorcycle with the number B 5110 TCA. Due to the severity of the impact, Teddy suffered severe head injuries.

"The victim was injured by the lips. It broke in the chest, hands and head. The victim died at the Kramatjati Police Hospital, East Jakarta," said Head of Laka Satlantas East Jakarta, Iptu Darwis Yunarta when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, January 24.

Meanwhile, the motorbike driven by the victim only suffered minor damage. The motorbike vehicle involved was secured at the East Jakarta Regional Traffic Unit.

"The incident began when the Honda Supra X motorbike driven by the victim was walking on Jalan Basuki Rahmat from east to west. When he arrived at the scene, he had a traffic accident crashing into a Light Truck carrying building materials," he said.

The incident had caused traffic jams at the scene. Meanwhile, from VOI's observation at the location, the victim's blood was still visible attached to the asphalt.

In addition, there were also arrow marks and signs where the victim's body was lying after the crime scene was processed by members of the East Jakarta Police Traffic Unit at the scene.

"The victim is a resident of Cakung, East Jakarta. Currently at the Kramatjati Police Hospital," he said.
