JAKARTA - Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said Israel's ground military operation in the Gaza Strip would soon end without US support.

This was conveyed by Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, underlining that war is not a problem solution in the region.

"All leaders in our region believe that without US support, the war will stop today. In 10 minutes (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu will fall, unable to continue the war," Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian said.

Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian also said that Tehran is committed to resolving conflicts through political means.

"We have never considered war (as) the right solution to the (this) problem," he said.

As previously reported, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian said that if the conflict in Gaza ends, tensions and attacks in the surrounding area will also end.

Since the outbreak of the Hamas-Israeli conflict in Gaza on October 7, tensions have also risen in surrounding areas, including on the Lebanese-Israeli border to attacks in the Red Sea, where militant groups Hezbollah and Houthi in the two regions expressed support for Hamas.

"If the genocide in Gaza stops, then this will end the crisis and other attacks on the region," Iran's Foreign Minister said, quoted by CNN.

Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian also said Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasollah told him Hezbollah's attack would stop if Israel stopped its attack on Hamas in Gaza.

Maritime security and shipping safety in the Red Sea, Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf are important to Iranian oil exporters, claiming Iran has information that Yemen and Saudis are approaching a "real substantive peace agreement."

"The Red Sea's security is linked to developments in Gaza, and everyone will suffer if Israel's crimes in Gaza don't stop. All fronts (opposites) will remain active," he said.

Earlier this week, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian said the Houthi militias allied with Iran would continue their attacks on the Red Sea "as the genocide in the Gaza war continues", adding that the Houthis had assured Tehran that "they would not interfere with maritime security".
