The Role Of 2 Civilian Suspects In The Theft Case Of Hundreds Of Vehicles Stored In The TNI Warehouse: Gatherers And 'Sponsors'

Polda Metro Jaya said there were two civilians working with three Army soldiers to store hundreds of vehicles resulting from theft and embezzlement at Gudbalkir Pusziad, Sidoarjo, East Java. Both act as collectors and'sponsors' or financiers.

"We carried out an investigation and succeeded in arresting 2 suspects," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, to reporters, Wednesday, January 10.

The two suspects had the initials MY and EI. From the results of the examination, they have a collection role. This means that both of them buy stolen motorbikes or to debtors who do not pay installments.

"Suspect M acts as a collector of the vehicle which will later be sent to Timor Leste and the suspect EI who collects sekalugus provides a fee for delivery to Timor Leste," he said.

From the arrest of the two, it was also revealed that hundreds of vehicles were stored at Gudbalkir Pusziad, Sidoarjo, East Java.

"46 units of four-wheeled vehicles and 214 units of two-wheeled vehicles of various brands. The evidence is thought to have been secured at the Polda Metro Jaya," said Wira.

Meanwhile, in this case there was the involvement of three TNI AD soldiers. They are Major BP, Kopda AS, and Praka J.

Currently, the three of them have been detained and are undergoing examination by PuspomAD.
