TKN: Prabowo Controls Debate, Ganjar Criticizes, Anies Attacks Personal

JAKARTA - Director of TKN Debate Budiman Sudjatmiko, commented on the appearance of the three presidential candidates in the third debate held by the KPU at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, January 7. Budiman claimed that Presidential Candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto controlled the debate in substance the theme which includes defense, security, international relations, and geopolitical.

Meanwhile, Presidential Candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo tried to criticize the Minister of Defense but was considered not to know the substance. Meanwhile, Presidential Candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, is more about attacking opponents personally, especially Prabowo as Minister of Defense.

"Substantively, Mr. Prabowo controls, Mr. Ganjar tries to criticize, but he doesn't know that in various kinds of defense issues, there are things that are sensitive that cannot be opened. If Mr. Anies sees that it is better to become a personal forum," Budiman said after the debate event at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, January 7.

Budiman assessed that Anies criticized matters that were not related to the defense issue. It is known, in the debate, the former governor of DKI Jakarta had mentioned the ethical violation of the Constitutional Court (MK).

"Pak Anies personalizes some criticisms that have nothing to do with the performance of the defense ministry, it has nothing to do with defense issues either, yes, there are some he mentioned but it seems that the pressure weight conveyed by Mr. Anies, attacks," said the former 98 activist.

The member of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN Expert Council admitted that he was interested in Prabowo's discussion on the track talking about defense issues, foreign politics, geopoliticals, and globalization, in his capacity, which is not just a defense minister, but also as a good reader of books.

"I think Pak Prabowo can get through this debate well and hopefully this will continue to maintain our advantage in the survey. In our determination to win Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran," concluded Budiman.
