Hasan Nasbi Bela Istilah Londo Ireng, Sebut Pemerintah Boleh Kritik Pengkritik

JAKARTA - Special Presidential Advisor for Communication Hasan Nasbi explained the meaning of his statement about the government being able to criticize critics. He also defended the use of the term "londo ireng" which had previously been widely discussed.

Hasan conveyed this explanation at the Presidential Complex, Jakarta, Friday, July 31.

According to Hasan, the term is not intended for the public in general. He said the term was directed at a certain group who he considered preferred to make noise.

"Criticizing londo ireng is okay. It's not directed at the public in general," said Hasan.

Hasan said the term was aimed at critical groups who were suspected of being "londo ireng".

"That is to the critical groups that we suspect as londo ireng. Not for the general public," he said.

When asked whether the government saw a group of "londo ireng", Hasan said the term was only a designation for some people.

"That's just a term for some people who seem to prefer to fight," said Hasan.

Hasan also assessed that there were parties who were too pessimistic in looking at the life of the nation.

"It seems that they prefer to be pessimistic about the life of our nation," he said.

According to Hasan, this statement is an invitation for the public not to make a lot of noise. He said the public should strengthen unity and confidence in their own nation.

"We should be together. We should not make a lot of noise, but we should increase our unity," said Hasan.

He also asked for more optimism to be built than pessimism.

"We must increase optimism, reduce pessimism, increase confidence in our nation," he said.

Hasan emphasized that the government still views criticism as something that exists in the public sphere. However, he assessed that the government could also respond to groups of critics.
