Jambi Police Arrest Four Illegal Oil Mining Perpetrators

JAMBI - The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Jambi Police, through a special team of illegal drilling, arrested four perpetrators of illegal oil mining in Jebak Village, Muara Tembesi District, Batanghari Regency.

The Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Mulia Prianto, said that the disclosure began with information about oil mining activities without permission in Jebak Village.

Arriving at the location, special team personnel received oil mining activities without a permit and then the team found and secured four oil mining players without a permit.

"Currently, the perpetrator and the evidence are being brought to the Jambi Regional Police for further investigation," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 4.

Meanwhile, the evidence that was successfully secured were two motorbikes without police numbers, two iron canting pipes, two tampan rope rollers and two katrol and two jerry cans containing black liquid resembling oil.

The identities of the perpetrators who were secured were TO as the owner of the oil well, AR, BH and MH as the speedmaker.

Previously, the TNI-Polri Joint Team together with the Environment Agency had brought order to illegal oil wells in the Tahura Senami National Park area, Batangahari.

The control of this unlicensed oil well is located in Jebak Village, Muaro Tembesi. This control is the aftermath of the viral illegal oil wells that caught fire in the area.

Mulia said the Jambi Regional Police were committed to controlling the activities of illegal oil wells in the area by controlling and taking action against the perpetrators.
