Jakarta's 'Semarak Global' At The HI Roundabout Is Like A Fertile Field For Pickpockets

JAKARTA - The HI Roundabout area, Central Jakarta, on New Year's Eve 2024 to 2025, is prone to crime, Tuesday, December 31, evening. Many visitors to the HI Roundabout in a mini, complained of losing valuables.

At around 22.30 WIB, it was seen that 1 person suspected of pickpocketing was secured by residents at the security post. It was seen that residents were jostling over the suspected pickpocket in the rear tent of the HI Pospol.

Before long, police officers came and immediately led the suspected pickpocket to the HI Roundabout Police Post to be secured from the residents' tantrums.

Seen a man visiting New Year's Eve celebrations in the HI area complaining that his cellphone and wallet were missing.

The pickpocketing victim also came to the HI Pospol to look for his cellphone and wallet which were allegedly stolen by the perpetrator who had been secured.

"My cellphone and wallet are missing. If arrested, maybe there are still items," said one of the men who was victim of pickpocketing.

Not long after, another man came with his friends complaining that his cellphone was placed in a missing bag. He suspects that there are more than 1 pickpocket.

"He was in a group. Earlier, when he was examined, Hp had disappeared," said the victim.

The HI Roundabout area is the center of celebration for New Year's Eve 2025 this year. The main stage of New Year's celebrations is at the HI Roundabout, inviting millions of residents to visit the area.
