JAKARTA - The National Team for Winning Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) is optimistic that they will win two rounds in the 2024 presidential and vice presidential elections (Pilpres). "With the calculation and trending of all survey institutions, we believe there will be two rounds, and AMIN will win from a two-round battle," said AMIN National Team Spokesperson Billy David when contacted in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, December 31. Billy said that his party had a strategy to win the 2024 presidential election by thickening the difference in winning on AMIN's vote base, increasing the creative campaign agenda, and socializing sectoral issue work programs to reach indecisive voters (undecided voters). To face the peak campaign in January, apart from the Desak Anies and Slepet Imin programs, his party is also preparing alternative campaign activities that are synonymous with the younger generation, such as music performances and the creative industry. In addition, he said, in the first round, AMIN couples were confident they could get votes above 40 percent. "The overall target is up to 40 percent," said Billy. Previously, the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday, November 13, 2023, determined that three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates would participate in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres).
