FIFA Will Announce Club World Cup Stadiums 2025

JAKARTA - FIFA will announce stadiums for the Club World Cup next year in the US on Saturday, September 28.

Quoting Antara, the new tournament with a format of 32 clubs will be followed by clubs from all over the world, and will take place from June 15 to July 13, 2025.

FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, will announce at Central Park at the Global Citizen Festival. The Global Citizen Festival is a music event aimed at poverty alleviation campaigns.

Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich are part of 12 European teams that have qualified for the tournament. Meanwhile, from South America, the River Plate and Boca Juniors from Argentina and Flamengo from Brazil are three of the total six South American clubs.

FIFA has yet to announce broadcast partners for the tournament.

On the other hand, the Club World Cup faces challenges from the union of professional FIFpro footballers. FIFpro and Europa League have registered objections to the European Commission against FIFA regarding the inclusion of the tournament into the international match calendar.

Both FIFpro and Europa League said the tournament added to the tight schedule of competitions and increased the workload of footballers.

The tournament will take place at the same time as the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament, which will be held mostly on the US West Coast.

Club World Cup matches are expected to mostly be played on the US Coast (East Coast).

The US will also co-host for the 2026 World Cup together with Mexico and Canada.
