Muhaimin Wants A Stunting Budget Of IDR 40 Trillion To Be Diverted To Pregnant Women

JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar promises to prioritize the health of pregnant women since the age of zero pregnancy.

"Since the zero pregnancy of a mother, she must receive attention, this religious order to protect offspring is the duty of the state, if her descendants are healthy it will produce a superior generation," said the man who is familiarly called Gus Imin during the Slepet Imin event in Depok City, West Java, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 19.

According to him, the budget for stunting management is very large, namely Rp40 trillion, but he thinks it is better to divert it to maintain the health of pregnant women.

"This Rp40 trillion is rather than being late in handling children, especially since this Rp40 trillion can be used since the zeros of a mother's pregnancy, why not shift it? Moreover, such a large budget is used more meetings than its implementation," he said.

Gus Imin said that assistance and monitoring of the health of pregnant women can be done using the Integrated Service Post (Posyandu), Family Welfare Development (PKK), and activities in villages.
