KPK Giring 3 Head Of Service In North Maluku Provincial Government Examined In Jakarta

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) team brought three echelon II officials within the North Maluku Provincial Government (Pemprov) to Jakarta via Sultan Baabullah Airport Ternate, at around 07.15 Wit using Garuda Indonesia GA 649.

Based on ANTARA's monitoring at Sultan Baabullah Airport Ternate, Tuesday, December 19, the three heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the North Maluku Provincial Government, namely the Head of Education and Culture Office of the North Maluku Provincial Government, Imran Yakub, Head of PUPR Daud Ismail and Head of the Bureau of Procurement of Goods and Services, Ridwan Arsan and one of the staff at the PUPR Service.

A total of two black inova cars left the North Maluku Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters at around 06.50 Wit who was escorted by a white car to Sultan Baabullah Airport, Ternate.

The two black cars are the KPK team that brought three Heads of Office within the North Maluku Provincial Government after conducting a Hand Catch Operation (OTT) by the KPK.

The three Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the North Maluku Provincial Government, from observations at Sultan Baabullah Airport, at around 07:05 Wit, namely the Head of the Education and Culture Office, Imran Yakub, the Head of the PUPR Service, Daud Ismail and the Head of the Goods and Services Procurement Bureau, Ridwan Arsan and one of the staff at the PUPR Service.

The three OPD chiefs and one staff were taken to Jakarta using the Garuda Indonesia GA 649 aircraft.

Previously, on Monday the KPK team sealed a number of offices within the North Maluku Provincial Government, including the North Maluku Governor's office, the working room of the head of the Education and Culture Office and the treasurer's office at the PUPR Office, and the working room of the Head of the North Maluku Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) in Sofifi City.

Furthermore, on Monday evening the KPK team also came to search a number of rooms at the Residence of the North Maluku Governor's Office, in Takama Village, Ternate City. From the information received, the Governor of North Maluku Abdul Gani Kasuba who will end his position on December 31, 2023, was exposed to OTT, Monday afternoon at the Bidakara Hotel, Jalan Gatot Subroto Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the KPK arrested the Governor of North Maluku, Abdul Ghani Kasuba, during a Hand Arrest Operation (OTT) along with a number of other people, Monday, December 18, 2023.

A total of 15 people were arrested in this silent operation, including other North Maluku Provincial Government officials and the private sector.

Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri, in a written statement, Tuesday, said that so far more than 15 people have been arrested, both in South Jakarta and in Ternate City, including the Governor of North Maluku and several other officials as well as the private sector.

According to him, these parties are still under investigation and are undergoing examination at the KPK office.

"There is still a request for information on the arrested parties. We will convey more after ensuring that the entire activity process is complete," said Ali.
