JAKARTA - Head of the State Administration Agency (LAN) Adi Suryanto, died in Yogyakarta, Friday, December 15. Adi died at the age of 54.

"Head of LAN Prof. Dr. Adi Suryanto, M.Si., CHRM, died in Yogyakarta," said LAN Head of Legal and Public Relations Bureau Tri Atmojo Sejati in a statement, Friday, December 15.

Tri said Adi's body was planned to be buried at Al Azhar Memorial Garden, Karawang, West Java, tomorrow, Saturday, December 16.

Adi Suryanto was born on December 8, 1969 in Kebumen, Central Java. He has served for 29 years on LAN.

He has served as Head of LAN since December 23, 2015, replacing Agus Dwiyanto, who is entering his retirement period. His position was extended by President Joko Widodo with Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 206/TPA of 2020 concerning the Extension of the Term of Office of the Main High Leadership Officer in the LAN Environment.

Adi Suryanto's career in working starts from the lowest positions of echelon IV, echelon III, echelon II, echelon I, and currently JPT Utama.

Adi Suryanto also has professional experience in various aspects of state and policy administration, ranging from the field of education and training of apparatus, facilitation, study and development, consolidation, policy studies, government planning, performance management, and so on.

In addition, Adi graduated from a bachelor's degree in Government Science at Diponegoro University in 1993, then took a master in the field of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Indonesia in 2000.

In 2008, Adi earned a doctorate in political science from the University of Indonesia. He was later confirmed as Professor or Professor of Public Administrative Sciences STIA LAN Jakarta Polytechnic in October 2023.

Since college, Adi has been actively writing in various newspapers. To date, he has written various journals and articles, books, modules, policy papers, and so on.

Some of the books he wrote included the Evaluation of Regional Head Election Management and Deputy Regional Heads, Regional Government Management, and Elite Conflicts in the Establishment of Banten Province.
