Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's Breakthrough, Fahira Idris: Will Sell Shares Of A Beer Company Owned By The Jakarta Provincial Government

JAKARTA - Member of the Jakarta Regional Representative Council (DPD), Fahira Idris, revealed one thing that Ridwan Kamil-Suswono will do if he is elected as Governor and Deputy Governor. The number one pair is said to be selling shares of PT Delta Djakarta.

The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) is known to own the shares of the beer maker company.

"There is one thing that amazed me with Mr. Ridwan Kamil, Mr. Suswono. But today I am even more amazed. Why? He said, in his first 100 days, he will close the PT Delta Jakarta liquor factory. Allahuakbar," said Fahira during a speech at Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's grand campaign at Cendrawasih Field, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Thursday, November 14.

With the steps that Ridwan Kamil-Suswono will take, Fahira Idris invites the public to support the number one pair.

"We support him. God willing, he has a better program. There are orphans, many others," said Fahira.

For information, PT Delta Djakarta is a producer of beer with several brands, namely, Anker, Carlsberg, Kuda Putih, and San Miguel.

The DKI government has owned shares of PT Delta since February 7, 1984. DKI is recorded to own 186.84 million shares or 23.33 percent of PT Delta's total shares.

In 2019 the number of share ownership increased to 210.2 million shares or 26.25 percent, because it was integrated with shares belonging to the DKI Jakarta Investment and Capital Participation Management Agency (BP IPM Jaya) which had been disbanded. BP IPM Jaya austained by the DKI government has a share portion of 2.91 percent in PT Delta.

Dividends pocketed by DKI have always increased throughout 2008-2014. The details are IDR 5.885 billion (2008), IDR 39.938 billion (2010), IDR 46.244 billion (2012), IDR 48.346 billion (2013), and IDR 50.448 billion (2014).

However, in 2016, DKI's profits at PT Delta fell to Rp. 37,828 billion. This was due to the issuance of a Regulation of the Minister of Trade which prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages in minimarkets.
