BEKASI - Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan promised to bring social assistance programs (bansos) similar to the Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ) to the national level if he won the 2024 presidential election.

"God willing, programs for people with disabilities in Jakarta that are felt to be good, useful, we will increase them to be implemented at the national level. In Jakarta, KPDJ social assistance has an assistance program for people with disabilities in the form of cash worth IDR 300 thousand per month, free Transjakarta access, food subsidies assistance, to discounted prices when shopping using KPDJ which is the ATM card.
"With the identity card of persons with disabilities, various parties who want to help have identification," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
"Well, God willing, this is one of the programs that we want to improve so that those who will benefit from not only Jakarta residents but also people with disabilities in various parts of Indonesia," he added.
Then, Anies also wants to accommodate the convenience of people with disabilities to get job opportunities. This is done by cooperating with the private sector to provide job quotas for people with disabilities.
"When on duty in Jakarta, I often meet companies that want to help people with disabilities but don't know how. If we make a partnership, and there is a body, then anyone who is interested in helping just coordinate here, can be facilitated," said Anies.
